Our origins
The word "Mangará" means "heart" in the Tupi-Guarani languages of Brazil. Indigenous people call the beautiful banana
flower "Mangará" because it has a heart-like shape.
The founder
Patricia Cossettin, the company’s founder, created Mangará to follow her heart and bring to the world the shoe line that she believes modern women deserve.
Born in the south of Brazil, Patricia is an Italo-Brazilian businesswoman. Mangará represents Patricia’s belief that
everything worth doing must be done full heartedly. She developed a brand that embodies a slower pace and process. One in which every detail counts, where reliability matters more than trends, and where there is a purpose to every
piece.
In Mangará, each pair of shoe is carefully designed to
deliver on this promise.
